I am BACP Senior Accredited and on the BACP Register; this means I have met a certain standard of training and experience and I have to renew this annually. I am in regular supervision, as necessary for accreditation, and am subject to the BACP's grievance procedures.
I have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist for two decades, and a supervisor for some time. After a diploma level training in Psychodynamic Counselling, I also completed an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy with Children & Adolescents. Although my main training is psychodynamic, I have a base training in person-centred therapy and can now offer EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
I also have a Diploma in Integrative Supervision with Groups and Individuals, a Certificate in Online Counselling (OCST), a Certificate in Psychopathology and a Certificate in Trauma Therapy. I have trained to Level 2 of EFT.
My background in is the arts, mostly theatre and music. I am also interested in Mindfulness practice and holistic therapies in general, as well as literature and gardening.
I have worked in the voluntary sector, the NHS and education. I have set up and managed community-based counselling services for young people and adults, as well as school counselling services. I currently manage a voluntary sector counselling service in Wimbledon and run a small private practice.
